Year 8 History Trips 17th-21st October
The week before half term saw year 8 being lucky enough to be taken down in tutor groups to enjoy the ‘Home of our Delight’ Exhibition at the Rook Lane Chapel that focused on letters that were sent during the time of World War 1 to and from the villagers of Mells. They had a great opportunity to explore what life was like for the people in their local area during such a significant period of history as well as beginning to examine the changing attitudes to war on display from the letters as well as sketching images and examining a wealth of literature that was available throughout the exhibition.
Mr Reynolds and Year 8 would like to extend a huge thank you to Sue and Jo who curated the exhibition and accommodated us throughout the week with willingness to answer any of the questions we had for them.
