SEND

At Oakfield, we recognise that any child may require extra help with schoolwork during their time spent with us.

In some circumstances, teachers may feel that it is beneficial to provide additional support by working alongside a pupil within his / her normal classroom.

This will be reviewed and updated regularly by Mrs Emma Thomas the school SENCo (pictured left.) A school SEN report will be published annually and will include up to date information for parents carers.

Wednesday 28th June 2017 - We are holding a SEND Parent Forum from 4-5.30pm. The focus will be transition and Oakfield's marking policy.

Current parents and new parents who will be joining us from September are invited to come along.

Statement from current parent '

Oakfield provide a comprehensive level of support for children with dyslexia. They take time to understand each child's individual needs and put support in place based around this so it is tailored to the child. Communication with the teachers is two way so that any obstacles can be overcome in partnership with the family and school, making for successful learning'
