About
The Oakfield Mission Statement: To inspire all pupils to believe in their abilities and to achieve at their highest level
Oakfield was built in 1940 and opened by Lord Butler (Minister of Education at the time). Originally, Oakfield opened as a comprehensive secondary school until, in 1973, it became a middle school. Oakfield converted to Academy status in 2011 and remains a co-educational, comprehensive, non- religious, community day school for pupils aged 9-13.
