World Book Day

This year we are going to spend the day working with the ideas found in ‘The Lost Words’ by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris. When Robert and Jackie discovered that the Oxford English Dictionary was removing words from their Children’s Dictionaries they had to do something!  They found out that these words were from the natural world – Dandelion, Otter, Bramble and Acorn, all gone. Parents Information Session – Kooth

Jane Archer from 'Kooth' is coming in to talk to parents about their free, online, anonymous, safe, counselling tool. Y8 Visit to SS GT Britain

21 March

The visit will include transport to and from Bristol, a guided tour of the ship, an interactive workshop, a break for a packed lunch followed by time to explore the museum.   The cost of this trip is £18.00, which can be paid by cheque, cash (brought to the office) or by Parent Pay.  Pupils need to wear school uniform and appropriate outdoor clothing.  They will need a packed lunch/drink, please indicate on the slip below if your child is entitled…
