On Friday 19th January the whole school joined a charity event in support of Dementia Care at the Royal United Hospital. An ACORNS house competition was organised and all pupils cycled on spinning bikes to accumulate as many kilometres as possible. The “N” tutor groups were the overall winners with 106.6kms, the Academy as a whole cycled 592.6kms during the day! In total over £300 was raised for the Unit at the RUH which will be presented to them shortly. Congratulations all staff and pupils.
Thank you to Fusion Lifestyle at Frome Leisure Centre and the Train Station Gym for the loan of their spinning bikes. A huge thank you also to Frome Town Council who kindly allowed their Town Rangers to help with the transportation of the bikes to and from our school.
